Toblerone Swiss Fondue
Ingredients
- ¾ cup whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 6 - 3.52 ounce bars Toblerone chocolate, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- Assorted fresh fruit
- Crisp Ladyfingers
- Almond biscotti
- Bite-size pieces of angel food cake
Directions
- Bring cream and honey to simmer in heavy medium saucepan over low heat.
- Gradually add chocolate, letting each addition melt before adding more.
- Remove from heat. Whisk almond extract.
- Transfer fondue to a fondue pot and serve over a low flame.
- Regulate the heat, if possible, to keep the fondue warm, but not hot.
- If it begins to boil, turn off the heat.
- Serve with skewers.
Notes
Fruit suggestions: whole strawberries, 1-inch-thick slices peeled banana, peeled pear wedges and orange or tangerine segments, dried apricots, dried or fresh figs.
