Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water (105° to 115°F)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Directions
- In the bread pan of an electric bread machine, combine (in this order) the warm water, olive oil, salt, flour and yeast.
- Set the machine for Pizza Dough according to the manufacturer’s instructions and process through the cycle.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface.
- Punch down the dough and divide in half.
- Form each half into a ball and cover with a clean kitchen towel.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
- Roll out as directed in the pizza recipe. Makes two 12-inch rounds.
