Maple Glazed Salmon


Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 4 - 6 ounce skinless salmon fillets
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Lemon wedges
  • For the Broccoli: 1 lb broccoli floret
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler or grill to high.
  2. Combine garlic powder, salt, paprika, and ground red pepper; sprinkle evenly over salmon fillets.
  3. Arrange fillets on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  4. Broil 5-10 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven.
  6. Alternatively, place salmon fillets on cedar planks that have been soaked in water for at least and hour.
  7. Grill on high for 10-15 minutes, until the middle is cooked through.
  8. Drizzle maple syrup over fillets; broil 1 minute or until desired degree of doneness.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges.
