Boiled Shrimp

Ingredients
- 2 lbs shrimp
- Ice or cold water
- Optional herbs:
- 3-4 bay leaves
- 3 tbsp old bay seasoning
- pinch of cayenne
- 2 tsp black peppercorns
- 0.5 garlic head, halved crosswise
- 5 sprigs fresh parsley
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 lemon, halved
Directions
- Bring large pot half full of water to boil.
- If desired, add herbs and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze and add lemon after simmering.
- Add 2 lbs shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, until just barely pink. They may float to the top.
- Do not overcook.
- Strain out shrimp and rinse with cold water.
- De-vein and serve.
