Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken

Ingredients
2 pounds chicken breasts 1 - ⅔ ounce package Italian salad dressing mix 2 tablespoons butter 1 small onion, chopped 1 garlic clove, chopped 1 - 10 ½ ounce can cream of chicken soup 8 ounces cream cheese 1 cup chicken broth
Directions
Place chicken breast in crock pot with the chicken broth and Italian seasoning. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a sauce pan and sauté onion and garlic. Remove chicken from crock pot and shred. Add Cream of Chicken Soup and cream cheese to crock pot with broth. Whisk until smooth. Add shredded chicken to crock pot and cook on low for an additional hour. Serve over pasta or rice.
